Fully remote internships in chip design, atomistic simulations, and machine learning
Job Description:
We are seeking candidates for intern R&D Engineering positions focused on application software development. This internship offers you the opportunity to learn about semiconductor device modeling, material property predictions and machine learning based design automation. You will get exposed to the state-of-the-art chip modelling, cloud computing, atomistic quantum simulation technology and machine learning. You will get hands on experience in usage of Silvaco simulation tool suites (see e.g., Silvaco - TCAD&Atomistic Simulation) and interact with Silvaco engineers and scientists in Prof. Kubis’ lab (www.group.tkubis.com).
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate or graduated level student in CE, EE, or CS
- Python, matlab, Jupyter, and/or scripting language experience very useful
- Solid state and semiconductor physics welcome but not needed
- Experience with TCAD, atomistic modeling and Silvaco tools will be picked up during the work
