Degree Requirement: MS
RA position for ECE MS students

An RA position is available for the Fall of 2022 to work on signal analysis in applied seismology.  There is also the possibility of the RA continuing through 2022-2023.

The RA involves analyzing signals recorded by seismometers and/or fiber optical cables. Signal sources include road traffic, wind turbines, industrial and agricultural activities. Signal processing, data mining, and deep learning techniques will be investigated to understand the human-earth interaction for energy and other natural resources such as water and wind.

A course background in signals and systems, Fourier analysis, and digital signal processing is required. Experiences in machine learning are preferred. For more information contact Prof. Yunyue Elita Li at elitali@purdue.edu.
