Fall Grant Writing Class open for registration: GRAD 590, "Light" version
 
Grant Writing classes for graduate students who are in research-based programs: 
 
GRAD 590 will be offered Fall 2021 (CRN 21906) and Spring 2022:
“Light” version – Content without writing assignments
This 1.0 credit hour, pass/no pass, class focuses on learning information that is fundamental to grant and fellowship writing. GRAD 590 uses the same lecture content from GRAD 550 but with quizzes instead of assignments and discussion boards.
Class Meeting Time: Online and Asynchronous – no live class sessions
Prerequisites: Enrollment in a PhD or Masters Research-Based Program
Credit Hours: 1.0 (one class module per week with quizzes over the content)
 
GRAD 550: Fellowship and Grant Application Writing will be offered Spring 2022
This 2.0 credit hour, pass/no pass, class gives you a structured system to practice proposal writing and prepare fellowship application statements. Class content focuses on common fellowship application components and the analysis of writing mechanics and content.
Class Meeting Time: Tuesdays 3:30 4: 20 discussions and activities, writing assignments
Prerequisites: Enrollment in a PhD or Masters Research-Based Program
Credit Hours: 2.0 (one in-person class per week with discussion and writing assignments)
 
Both Classes (GRAD 590 & GRAD 550) will cover the same lecture content.  The attached flyer gives details of each.
