Spanish TAship available for qualified graduate student

Position Type: Graduate Student
Priority: No
Spanish TAship available for qualified graduate student

We would be interested in interviewing any graduate students (either native speakers of Spanish, or nonnative speakers with native or near-native fluency in Spanish) who would be interested in being a TA for the School of Languages and Cultures in the fall.

Here are the immediate expectations:
  1. The graduate student would have to take SPAN 519 in the fall semester, this is our teaching methods course.
  2. The graduate student would also have to be on campus the week before classes start to attend relevant meetings for the courses that they will be teaching.
If selected, the TA’s teaching load would be either 1 course at .25 FTE or 2 courses at .50 FTE. These courses will be F2F.

Those interested, please contact Dr. Marcia Stephenson, Associate Professor of Spanish, via email mstephen@purdue.edu
