The Office of Graduate Professional Development is excited to announce a new, virtual 3MT competition! Registration is starting now! The winning Grad student will receive $2,000. Below is information about 3MT and other upcoming workshops. 


Data Visualization using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
7/2/20 2:00 – 3:30 pm
Introductory material will be presented before the attendees jump in to connect to a data source using Excel's data features. They will then create charts, regressions, and complete the training by using PowerPoint to combine the finished product. Some data cleaning techniques will be shown before import.

Incoming International Graduate Student Resources Q&A

During this unprecedented time, uncertainty is high, especially for international students. For this reason, the Graduate School, International Student Services, and Purdue’s Counseling and Psychological Services, have come together to answer your questions! Graduate School Associate Dean, Dr. Thomas Atkinson, ISS Director, Chris Collins, and two representative from Purdue CAPS, Dr. Andrew Zaitsoff and Dr. Penny Peng, will each provide a brief introduction of available resources before using the remainder of the hour to answer your questions.

Data Visualization with R Part 2: Tidyverse/Tidy Data and dplyr

Get started on the path to exploring and visualizing your data with the tidyverse, a powerful and accessible collection of data science tools within R. Learn to transform and manipulate your data using dplyr. We'll also learn to combine data across multiple tables to answer more complex questions using dplyr.
