Graduate Research Assistant opening at RCAC (Rosen Center for Advanced Computing)

Graduate research assistant positions are available with the scientific solutions group at RCAC (Rosen Center for Advanced Computing). Successful candidates will participate in software development and user support in several of our projects.
The skills we look for include:
- Strong programming skills using Java, C/C++, JSP, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, Python, and R.
- Experience in web services and web application development.
- Experience in database development.
- Experience in geospatial data processing/visualization.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Jupyter Notebook, RStudio, and HUBzero.
- Experience in Android and iOS app development.
- Additional desired skills include familiarity with graphics programming, database administration and programming, scientific/engineering applications, and cloud computing.
- Familiarity with software development IDEs, source code control, and other standard software engineering practices.
- Proficiency with Windows and Unix platforms.
- Ability to work independently to meet project requirements and deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
