Join us as we demonstrate how to incorporate digital components into a static PDF document. We will begin by demonstrating the insertion of rich media files and will explore the method of embedding 3D models into the a PDF. We will then provide a demonstration of the DataConnect.
DataConnect is a newer tool developed by Civil Engineering professor Santiago Pujol, The Graduate School, and the IT Research Computing team at Purdue University. DataConnect helps researchers store data files, videos, hi-res photos, computer code, etc. and link these assets and their research reports to create interactive PDF documents that offer the reader not only opinion and narrative, but also data and raw information.
