Software Development Intern
 
Description: CSLabs is seeking full and part time interns to support algorithm research and software development across multiple projects and technologies. Applicant should have some programming experience and the ability to work in a distributed team environment. A basic understanding of physics or mathematics is expected. Tasks include supporting lead scientists in software development, algorithm development, software testing, and analysis and visualization. Projects include development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) software, RF ray tracing propagation algorithms, and image processing and medical tomographic reconstruction
algorithm development. Scope of projects include contracts supporting DARPA and the United States Department of Defense, US citizenship is preferred but not required.
 
Required Skills:
  • Programming skills in Python, C/C++, or JAVA
  • Engineering/physics/math classes
  • Knowledge of numerical methods
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Must have strong work ethic with emphasis on attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a fast paced startup environment
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with multicore/multithreaded programming
  • Experience with concurrent version control such as Git
  • Experience working in the Linux and Windows environments
  • Experience with object-oriented software design and design patterns
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle process
  • Engineering or physics background with electromagnetics
  • Experience in GPU programming
  • Experience with image processing
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning
  • Experience using CMake
  • Experience with Matlab, Mathematica, or other symbolic and numeric math packages
  • Past experience or interest in modeling and simulation or game development
