Graduate Admission for Masters and Ph.D. Degrees

REQUIRED ONLINE MATERIAL:

  • Application

  • Transcripts – Uploading your unofficial transcripts to the electronic application will speed the processing of the application review and the prospect of financial support. You must also send two copies of official transcripts from the Registrar in a sealed envelope (both original language and English translation).

  • Recommendations (3): If you choose paper recommendations, you must submit in the following format: 1) Download the ECE Recommendation Cover Form, 2) Complete the top portion and sign, waiving your right to view the recommendation, 3) Give to each recommender to finish and include with their letter in a sealed envelope with their signature over the flap.

  • Statement of Purpose

  • Resume

  • Fellowship Essay is only for students who attended a U.S. High School.  (International students should not complete the essay.)
  • Official GRE/TOEFL scores ordered from ETS. 

    • Eligibility for waivers:

      • GRE – no waivers

      • TOEFL waivers will only be granted to the following:
        • International students who have received a degree from a U.S. institution within 24 months, prior to admission.

        • International students who have received a BS or higher degree within 24 months, prior to admission, from a university/college whose primary language of instruction is English in a country where English is the official language.

REQUIRED HARDCOPY MATERIAL:

  • Two (2) original BS/MS/PHD transcripts in sealed envelopes from the Registrar (photocopies or online printouts not acceptable)

    • International Applicants

      • Transcripts in both original language (two copies) and English (two copies)are required unless the primary language of instruction was English.

      • Copies of diploma certificates for all degrees obtained, both original language and English, unless the primary language of instruction is English. See Acceptable Documents in English
      • A Provisional Certificate from your Registrar must give the expected month/year of graduation, if you have not yet graduated and received your diploma.
