The Purdue University College of Engineering is offering a new competitive postdoctoral funding mechanism: two-year Gilbreth Postdoctoral Fellowships.

Individuals who have either completed their PhD within two years of the Fellowship application deadline or are in the final year of their PhD program in engineering or related sciences at the time of application may apply. The Fellowship requires that two professors from different departments must co-advise the postdoctoral researcher.

Professors Joaquín Goñi (IE/BME) and Yunjie Tong (BME) have submitted a proposal on Brain Connectomics as one of the projects offered under this fellowship. Interested candidates may contact Prof. Goñi (jgonicor@purdue.edu) or Prof. Tong (tong61@purdue.edu).

  • See Gilbreth Fellowships for full application guidelines.
  • Deadline for submission of cover letter, curriculum vita, research statement and impact statement as a single .pdf on the fellowship website: April 8, 2018.
  • Deadline for letters of recommendation: all three of the candidate's letters of recommendation must be received by April 15, 2018
