Dr. Letian Dou named to Highly Cited Researchers list for 2020

For the second consecutive year, a Davidson School of Chemical Engineering professor has been named to the list of Highly Cited Researchers from the Web of Science Group. Dr. Letian Dou, the Charles Davidson Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue University, is among approximately 6,400 scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple papers, highly cited by their peers, during the last decade. Dr. Dou was recognized for his cross-field impact.

AIChE Announces New Officers, Board for 2021

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) announced today that Purdue Chemical Engineering alumna Deborah L. Grubbe (BSChE '77), will become President of AIChE in 2021. Grubbe, the Owner and President of Operations and Safety Solutions, LLC, succeeds 2020 President Monty M. Alger, Professor of Chemical Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. Christine Grant, Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and the Inaugural Associate Dean of Faculty Advancement at North Carolina State University’s College of Engineering, will become 2021 President-elect, and will succeed Grubbe as AIChE President in 2022.

College of Engineering recognizes ChE faculty among Most Impactful Inventors of 2020

Five faculty from the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering are being recognized by Purdue College of Engineering as Most Impactful Inventors of FY 2020. David Corti, Elias Franses, Zoltan Nagy, Nien-Hwa Linda Wang, and You-Yeon Won are part of a special video presentation that can be viewed online which highlights faculty from across the College.

Seven ChE faculty recognized for 2020 external awards

Seven faculty from the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering are being recognized for their fiscal year 2020 External Awards by the Purdue College of Engineering. Xiaoping Bao, Bryan Boudouris, Letian Dou, Rajamani Gounder, Zoltan Nagy, Vilas Pol, and Fabio Ribeiro are part of a special video presentation that can be viewed online which highlights faculty from across the College.

College of Engineering recognizes 2020 new faculty

Purdue College of Engineering recently announced new faculty for 2020. Dr. Cornelius Masuku, Associate Professor of Engineering Practice, Dr. Ray A. Mentzer, Professor of Engineering Practice and Associate Director of Purdue Process Safety & Assurance Center, and Dr. Linas Mockus, Research Associate Professor from the Davidson School of Chemical Engineering are among the 46 new faculty announced in a special video presentation.
