Corteva Agriscience is seeking a proficient Fermentation Engineer to support its Fermentation Development Group to enable the company deliver against its ambitious growth strategy , especially in Agro-Biotechno logy.


Key  Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accountability for all reliability engineering efforts within a fermentation lab that consists of multiple fermentors ranging from 30 - 11OL and associated process equipment.

  • Identify opportunities and lead projects to reduce fermenter turnaround time, improve process safety, and increase equipment reliability .

  • Drive process improvements and innovative technical solutions working in collaboration with senior technical staff.

  • Champion preventative maintenance(PM)  activities and equipment improvement teams.

  • Maintain accountability for fermentation variability analysis and performance tracking.

  • Work directly with leadership and senior technicians to optimize process work flows to maximize value delivered to businesses.

  • Train technicians in equipment operation and the principles behind process control.

  • Develop scientific skills in the area of fermentation and contribute to experimental design, analysis and reporting to support business and R&D needs.

  • Work effectively in a collaborative environment and interface with multiple internal customers within the organization, including balancing competing priorities

  • Monitor and implement emerging technology offerings to improve fermentation performance and build a network to external collaboration partners



Candidate Requirements:

  • BS with 2 years experience or MS in Chemical or Biochemical Engineering or related discipline. Prior experience with fermentation equipment is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of fermentation equipment operation and maintenance

  • Experience working in teams in a complex environment

  • Technical understanding of the principles behind fermentation

  • A highly interactive operational style, capable of work ing in multidisciplinary teams

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
