Michael Frank is a senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in global engineering studies. As the lead investigator, he presently works under Dr. Weibel analyzing heat pipe performance. In 2012, he received a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship to study synthetic jet impingement. Outside of CTRC, Michael a design team leader in the Purdue Engineers Without Borders student organization. Enrolled in the Purdue GEARE (Global Engineering Alliance for Research and Education) program, he studied and conducted research at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain) in Spring of 2013.
