Bhaskarjyoti completed his Ph.D. degree (recipient of best thesis award of the department in the 2020-2021 graduating batch) from the department of mechanical engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati under the joint supervision of Dr. Amaresh Dalal and Dr. Dipankar N. Basu. His Ph.D. research theme was the experimental investigation of the external field-induced droplet dynamics in the purview of digital microfluidics. He had prior R&D experience in the diesel engine division of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Gurgaon. Currently, he is working with Prof. Justin A. Weibel in two-phase fluid flow and heat transfer processes in porous media after joining CTRC in August 2021. His research interests include multiphase flows, droplet dynamics, wetting and adhesion, two-phase fluid flow and heat transfer, digital microfluidics (read here).
