of Mechanical Engineering 585 Purdue Mall Purdue University West Lafayette, IN 47907-2088 Aalok works with Dr. Amy Marconnet and Dr. Justin Weibel, and his project at the CRTC involves developing techniques for measuring thermal properties of anisotropic materials, and development & characterization of heat spreading composites. Before starting his PhD at Purdue in the Spring of 2021, he spent 4 years working at 3D Systems in their hardware R&D group, developing thermal systems for industrial Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pune, India (2012) and an MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, IN (2016). During his Masters, he worked with Dr. Marconnet in the MTEC Lab, where his research focused on the characterization & thermal management of lithium-ion batteries. |
