CRISP Faculty Brainstorm

CRISP faculty are getting together to brainstorm on the upcoming activities. These include the Google Infrastructure Team interactions, Faculty awards, and NSF Grand Challenges in Resilience Workshop.

IEEE Computer Society Global Student Challenge Competition

This is the set of 5 finalists for the IEEE Computer Society Global Student Challenge 2021 (GSC-21), selected from among 250 student teams who registered. The teams solved 2 data science problems based on real-world datasets. This has the presentations from the finalists along with the voting link for the audience choice award.

CRISP Student Research Competition

CRISP is launching a student research competition separately for undergraduate and graduate students, who are working with faculty affiliated with CRISP. The first round will start Aug 23 and submissions will be due Sep 13 and then the finalists will present to a judging panel. There will be multiple prizes for each category.

A set of CRISP faculty members will present research briefs to NVIDIA Distinguished Engineer, Dr. Nirmal Saxena. The presentations relate to different forms of resilience as they relate to autonomous systems.

3 vision talks on resilience and panel discussion

3 vision talks on different aspects of resilience by Profs. Shreyas Sen, Jing Gao, and Ashraf Alam, followed by a panel discussion. The vision talks cover three diverse areas with a focus on resilient systems --- body area networks, data mining for veracity, and reliable sensing systems from unreliable sensors.
