CRISP graduate student wins awards at the CERIAS annual security symposium April 18-19

Event Date: April 19, 2017
CRISP PhD student, Chris Gutierrez, co-advised by Gene Spafford and Saurabh Bagchi, won the CERIAS Diamond award at the CERIAS Annual Symposium held at Purdue on April 18-19.

The "Diamond Award" is given to a student, who is judged to have overcome some extra challenges, worked really hard, and succeeded particularly well. (Think about coal being turned into diamond under extreme pressure and heat.) Chris is doing his PhD thesis on deception in information security systems. A poster based on his work that was presented at the CERIAS symposium is available from the following URL:

The poster also won the best poster award, as determined by a judge of industrial representatives at the symposium.
