Dr. Jeff Miller Featured in Nature Communications Editors' Highlights
|Event Date:||December 17, 2018|
Dr. Jeff Miller, CISTAR thrust leader and Purdue University Professor of Chemical Engineering, has been selected by Nature Communications for his recently published work, “Deconvolution of octahedral Pt3Ni nanoparticle growth pathway from in situ characterizations” to be included on the Editors’ Highlights webpage of recent research on Inorganic and Physical Chemistry. Each month, the editors of the open access journal choose a select number of recently published articles to spotlight as particularly interesting or important.
“We used the in situ, synchrotron characterization methods developed by CISTAR to compliment the TEM capabilities at Akron to understand the formation mechanism of catalytic alloy NP’s,” Miller said. The CISTAR characterizations were conducted by Guanghui Zhang, now a professor at Dalian University of Technology, in collaboration with and the group of Professor Zhenmeng Peng and his students from the University of Akron.
Nature Communications publishes high-quality research from all areas of the natural sciences. Papers published by the journal represent important advances of significance to specialists within each field. Miller’s article was originally published in October 2018
