CISTAR's Arvind Varma Selected to Receive 2018 ASEE Benjamin Garver Lamme Award
Dr. Arvind Varma of Purdue University and CISTAR team member has been selected to receive the 2018 American Society for Engineering Education Benjamin Garver Lamme Award. The award recognizes a ‘distinguished engineering educator for contributions to the art of teaching, contributions to research and technical literature and achievements that contribute to the advancement of the profession of engineering college administration.’
Prior to his current position as R. Games Slayter Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering, Dr. Varma served as the Jay and Cynthia Ihlenfeld Head of Chemical Engineering from 2004 through 2016. Dr. Varma has received over 25 awards and recognitions for his research and teaching over the course of his career including Fellow of the American Association from the Advancement of Science and Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
