The CEM curriculum cuts across the established boundaries of Purdue's engineering and related disciplines, working to provide students with well-rounded, multidisciplinary educations that produce the best and most diverse construction engineers on the market.

Our courses move beyond the walls of the lab and classroom. Every undergraduate must complete three internships, gaining valuable field experience in their areas of interest. Beyond internship opportunities, CEM makes learning interactive for students with programs like EPICS, study abroad, cooperative education, and research experiences.

The Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) program matches undergraduates with local community service organizations in order to define, design, build, test, deploy, and support projects for organizations in need. Other opportunities for global education are provided through our study abroad programs, which give students the chance to travel around the globe taking classes and gaining new experiences. Students also gain real-work experiences in our co-op programs, and the Summer Undergraduate Research (SURF) program is open to undergraduates looking to spend their summers working alongside professors in labs and in the field.
