U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - Rock Island District
Overview
The Rock Island District, one of forty-one Corps districts across the Unites States, Europe, and Asia, is headquartered in the Clock Tower Building on Arsenal Island in Rock Island, Illinois. The District employs a highly trained and experienced staff of civilians - not Army soldiers - whose mission is to plan, design and construct solutions to problems regarding river navigation, flood control, environmental restoration, disaster response, military support and recreation.
