Student / Faculty Bowling Night

Event Date: December 2, 2016
We love getting our students and faculty engaged, and what better way to do that than a friendly bowling competition? Bowling night will take place at Rack and Roll in the Purdue Memorial Union, and the bowler with the highest score will win a prize!

When: Friday, December 2nd  7-9pm

Where: Purdue Memorial Union Rack and Roll

What: Join the CEM family for a fun night of bowling!

Why: Celebrate CEM's 40th Anniversary at Purdue


  • Free, unlimited bowling
  • Rent your own shoes ($2.25)
  • Students, faculty/staff, and faculty/staff families invited
  • Art competition to take place (see below)

The bowler with the highest score will receive a prize at the end of the night!



Time to get creative! Build or create a work of art to celebrate CEM! 

Eligibility: All CEM students, faculty, and staff may participate

Themes: CEM, Construction, CEM 40th Anniversary

Judging and Winner: Artists will bring their art to Bowling Night. Everyone who attends Bowling Night will vote for their favorite work of art. Winner will be announced at 8:30pm. Winner will receive a prize and the winning artwork will be displayed in the CEM main office!

Media or Techniques: Any of the following media or techniques may be used: 

  • Paint (watercolor, tempera, poster, acrylic, etc.)
  • Sculpting materials (clay, papier-mâché, construction materials, etc.)
  • Drawing materials (pencil, charcoal, colored chalk, pastels, oil pastels, colored pencils, markers, etc.)
  • Collage materials (cut and glued papers, such as construction paper, tissue paper, wrapping paper, aluminum foil, etc.)
  • Prints (handmade stencils, gadget printing, collographs, block prints, etc.)
  • Original digital illustration
  • Photography
  • Mixed media

Size: Your art can be as big or small as you want. The only rule is that it must be mobile or able to be carried, as you'll need to bring it to Bowling Night.
