Honors and Awards
Roy E. & Myrna Wansik Excellence in Research Award, 2004; School of Civil Engineering, Purdue University National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award, 1997; for the proposal titled, "Efficient and Robust On-line Control of Large-scale Dynamic Traffic Systems with Information Systems". INFORMS Transportation Science Best International Dissertation Award, 1994; by INFORMS. This award is the oldest and most prestigious honor for doctoral dissertations in the transportation science area. An extended abstract of the dissertation was published in the Transportation Science journal (Vol. 29, No. 3, August 1995, pp. 291).
