ITE Technical Council Award, Institute of Transportation Engineers, as Chairman, Committee 6F-27: Transportation Energy Contingency Planning, recognized for "the significance of the committee's contribution to the transportation engineering profession", 1997.

ASCE News Correspondent Award, American Society of Civil Engineers, awarded to the correspondent whose contributions to ASCE News on behalf of his/her technical division during the previous year were judged to be the most outstanding among his/her counterparts. Special Commendation, 1984 and 1985.

ITE Section Newsletter Award, Institute of Transportation Engineers, awarded to the editor of the best section newsletter with circulation under 250, 1986.
