Prof. Jie Shan received a grant from the NOAA Indiana/Illinois Sea Grant Program. His team will be working on web-based 3-D GIS for the coastal cities of northern Indiana. Such work will be used for urban planning, tourism, ecological engineering and environmental engineering for sustainable development in the region.
