Aldo Giorgini was a professor in Civil Engineering at Purdue from 1968 until the 1990s, well regarded for his technical expertise in fluid mechanics and engineering mathematics. In the 1970s, he combined this scientific knowledge with his background in the visual arts, and emerged as a significant figure in the computer arts movement. This lecture will explore the Giorgini’s artistic legacy and provide some contextual information about the bold, geometric pieces featured in the exhibit.
