Courtney Colosimo, Joshua Harmon named 2019 Margaret Julia Ward and Bevan Blau Lewis award recipients

Courtney Colosimo and Joshua Harmon were named this year's Margaret Julia Ward and Bevan Blau Lewis award recipients. The two awards recognize a graduating female and male student in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering for achieving academic excellence.

Courtney Colosimo
As a civil engineering undergraduate, Courtney has been involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Civil Engineering Ambassadors, Chi Epsilon and was captain of the Concrete Canoe team. She was also a part of the College of Engineering Ambassadors, Purdue Student Engineering Foundation (PSEF), and Purdue Club Softball team. After graduation Courtney says she will be moving to Houston, Texas to work for Exxon Mobil in the Upstream division.

Joshua Harmon
During Joshua's undergraduate studies in civil engineering, he was involved in ASCE, Chi Epsilon, and assisted in research at the Traffic Lab and Bowen Lab. He has an internship this summer with Dunaway Associates in Fort Worth, Texas and will return to Purdue in the fall return to pursue a Master's degree, working with Dr. Amit Varma, Karl H. Kettelhut Professor of Civil Engineering  and Director of Bowen Laboratory.
