Willis "Rick" Conner (BSCE '76), President & COO of American Structurepoint, has been named a recipient of the Distinguished Engineering Alumni Award by the College of Engineering for his innovative initiatives, dedication, and wise risk-taking in more than 35 years spent expanding Structurepoint's design/build work and technology services internationally.

On April 24, 2015, Prof. Richard E. Goodman of the University of California, Berkeley will deliver the 13th Leonards Lecture on "Karl Terzaghi (1883-1963) - Geotechnical Engineer and Founder of Soil Mechanics." The PGS Workshop "Geotechnical Engineering From Theory to Practice" will be held in conjunction with the lecture.
 
Purdue, Ivy Tech create path for engineering majors

Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue University's College of Engineering have signed off on a transfer agreement that creates a path for Ivy Tech pre-engineering students to continue their studies towards a bachelor's degree in one of two engineering disciplines at Purdue.
 
Engineering Maymester - Sweden 2015

Purdue is partnering with KTH, the Swedish Royal Institute of Technology, in Stockholm for this program. Students will participate in lectures by KTH faculty, visit full-scale sites in various sectors, including tours of industry, water treatment and waste-to-energy facilities. Students will also tour the Parliament Building, and participate in cultural activities. Travel dates are May 16-27, 2015.
