On October 10th, 2013, Purdue Civil Engineering alumni met for a reception in conjunction with ASCE's 143rd Annual Civil Engineering Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.

On October 10th, 2013, Purdue Civil Engineering alumni met for a reception in conjunction with ASCE’s 143rd Annual Civil Engineering Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The event featured a book signing by Dr. Delon Hampton, CE alumnus and author of the new book, A Life Constructed: Reflections on Breaking Barriers and Building Opportunities.

In addition, Dr. Christopher B. Burke received special recognition during the evening for recently being named an ASCE Distinguished Member. Distinguished Membership is the highest recognition the Society may confer. The Distinguished Membership grade is reserved for members of the Society who have attained the grade of Member or Fellow and who demonstrate acknowledged eminence in some branch of engineering or in its related arts and sciences.
