Civil Engineering extends congratulations to Cecelia (Cindy) D. Lawley recently promoted to Director of External Relations for our school.

In this new capacity, she will continue to work with our alumni and donors as well as take the lead on our communications and marketing presence. In addition, Cindy will continue to work with outside architects/engineers in our upcoming building and renovation projects.

Cindy received her B.S. in Business Administration from Mississippi University for Women in 1986, her M.S. in Education from the University of Alabama in 1991, and is currently pursuing a doctorate in higher education administration here at Purdue with an expected graduation date of May 2007. She teaches Ethics and Law for the School of Technology, Department of Organization Leadership and Supervision here at Purdue as an Adjunct Professor.

Cindy and her husband, Mark, a professor of Industrial Engineering here at Purdue, have two children, a son who is a senior at Harrision High School and a daughter in seventh grade at Battleground Middle School. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and coaching girls softball.
