Harold Munson Outstanding Teacher Award

In 1969, Mr. C. Harold Munson (BSCE '11) established a trust fund for the purpose of recognizing outstanding teachers in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering. The award carries a cash prize, and is presented annually on the basis of student selection.  Only permanent Civil Engineering faculty are eligible to receive this award.

Selection Criteria

All permanent Civil Engineering faculty members are eligible for this award except for the recipients of this award for the past 3 years. Junior, senior, and graduate students in the Lyles School of Civil Engineering are eligible to nominate up to three instructors for the award. A set of criteria was developed by a committee of civil engineering students and staff for student voters to rate the performance of the award nominees. The criteria list can be found here.
