Cheng Wang is currently a Research Scientist at Center for Brain-inspired Computing (C-BRIC) in Purdue University. He received his B.S. degree in physics from Peking University in 2009 and completed Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015. He worked as a Staff Engineer at Seagate Fremont Research from 2016 to 2019, developing magnetic devices for computer storage and memory applications. His current research interests include neuromorphic computing and stochastic computing using novel beyond-CMOS devices. Particularly he is interested in in-memory computing based on emerging non-volatile memories such as MRAM and ReRAM for low power AI applications.
