Research Interests

  • Elucidation of cellular and molecular mechanisms used to achieve specificity in growth factor/cytokine-specific changes in gene expression
  • Pathophysiology associated with chronic non-infectious inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and certain cancers
  • Interleukin-1 signaling using basic cell biology and genetic approaches
  • Functional significance of mPLK/IRAK-1 in the context of TNF(alpha) signaling and development of cancers
  • Determination of the molecular mechanism through which SIMPL mediates the synergistic enhancement of p65 activity
