Purdue Alert is the University’s emergency warning notification system. In case of an emergency, Purdue Alert will send out notifications via:
Tornado Watch: notification indicates possible formation of tornado in a given area is likely
Tornado Warning: notification indicates that a tornado has been sighted and poses a definite threat to a given area
If an active shooter is outside your building your best option may be to shelter in place:
If the shooter enters your office/classroom:
All bomb threats must be considered real until proven otherwise. All procedures should be implemented whether or not the bomb threat appears real.
