Purdue honors bioengineer with surprise tribute

Colleagues and former students gathered at Purdue University on Friday (Sept. 22) to share stories and testimonials about biomedical engineer Leslie Geddes, whose research has spawned innovations ranging from burn treatments to miniature defibrillators, ligament repair to tiny blood pressure monitors for premature infants.

Friday September 22 is upon us. The time to RSVP for the luncheon and reception have passed, and now is the time to attend the dedication of the new home of the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering and a tribute to the man who truly is the heart of biomedical engineering at Purdue: Dr. Leslie A Geddes.

Classes have officially started at the Purdue West Lafayette campus, including the very first class to be taught in the new Biomedical Engineering Building.

Les Geddes Featured In Impact

Dr. Les Geddes has been featured in the "Around The Fountain" section of the most recent issue of Purdue Engineering Impact magazine. This feature focuses on students, professors, and other people of interest within the College of Engineering.
