Max Hammond Selected for Fearnot-Laufman-Greatbatch Award

Congratulations to Max Hammond for receiving the 2013 Fearnot-Laufman-Greatbatch Award for best Summer Seminar presentation. Max is beginning his third year of Ph.D. study with Professor Joey Wallace. The award is presented to the graduate student whose presentation receives the highest evaluation scores from the faculty, students, and staff attending Summer Seminars.

Robert W. Burgess, Associate Professor, The Jackson Laboratory, will present a seminar on Wednesday, August 28th, entitled "Using mouse genetics to explain variation in the severity of heritable diseases of the peripheral nervous system." The seminar will be teleconferenced to SL-220 at IUPUI.

Sakiyama-Elbert, Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Washington University, St. Louis, MO.

"Injectable pH/temperature-sensitive hydrogels for biomedical applications" will be presented by Doo Sung Lee, Ph.D., of the Theranostic Macromolecules Research Center, Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea. The seminar will be presented at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, in MJIS 1001.
