BME Summer Seminar Begins Wednesday, May 20th

The first seminar of the BME Summer Seminar Series will be this Wednesday, May 20, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in MJIS 2001. Mike Shepard, CEO of Rene Medical, Inc., and Entrepreneur-in-Residence with the Purdue Foundry will speak on "Experiences from an Indiana Startup: Rene Medical Investor Presentation and Challenges."

Overview: Mike Shepard will be presenting the investor presentation and discuss the challenges they face with Rene Medical, an Indiana start-up company.  He will also highlight Elevate Ventures/Purdue Foundry resources that help fund and assist startup companies including a brief overview and how to interact with them.

Biography: Mike Shepard currently is with Elevate Ventures and serves as the CEO of Rene Medical Inc., which is developing a medical device for the treatment of acute kidney injury. As an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Purdue Foundry, he works with clients to create the investor documents and stories to obtain customers, investors, employees or mentors.
