The newest BME brochure, "Step Into Tomorrow with Purdue University's Biomedical Engineering" won a Gold ADDY Award for its designer, Cathy Swick of Cathy Swick Design. The brochure focused on breaking news about the Department of Biomedical Engineering, including recent State of Indiana funding, the new BME Building (slated to open in Spring 2006), and research successes. Its eyecatching shape and use of graphics won the gold award, sponsored by the Lafayette chapter of the Association of Advertising and Marketing Professionals. The brochure will be now be entered in a district judging, and winners from that competition will advance to the national ADDY awards, to be presented later this year.
