Prof. Paul Robinson Inducted as President-elect of International Society for Analytical Cytology

Professor J. Paul Robinson was inducted as President-elect of the International Society for Analytical Cytology (ISAC)on May 25, 2004, at the XXII Congress in Montpellier, France. The President-elect is a member of the executive management committee of the Society and is responsible for running the next congress in Canada in May 2005. The president-elect becomes the President of the Society at the meeting following election, and holds that position for the next two years.

ISAC is the professional organization for scientists utilizing multidisciplinary, advanced technology for the measurement of cells and cell processes. ISAC provides a forum for exchange of information on flow cytometry, digital microscopy, image and DNA microarrays, and other optically oriented technologies and their applications in clinical laboratory practice, drug discovery and development, and biological experimentation.

In addition to his duties as a Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Professor Robinson is a Professor of Immunopharmacology and Director of the Purdue University Cytometry Laboraties in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences.
