Rachel Price Receives BMES Award for Outstanding Graduate Student Research

Rachel Price received the Graduate Student Award for Outstanding Biomedical Engineering Research during a ceremony at the recent BMES Annual Fall Meeting held in Nashville, TN, October 1-4, 2003. The award includes a certificate, a stipend, registration for the BMES Annual Fall Meeting, and travel expenses. A total of only 5 awards for all graduate participants is given out each meeting.

The recipients are selected based on the scientific merit, originality, and quality of presentation of an extended research abstract. The students must also submit a letter of support from their advisor, certifying the originality of the student's effort.

Rachel's IGERT advisors are Professor Tom Webster and Professor Karen Haberstroh.
