Book by Dr. Richard Borgens Just Published

Richard Borgens' latest book "Restoring Function to the Injured Human Spinal Cord" has just been released as part of Springer's Advances in Anatomy Embryology and Cell Biology series. In his forward, Borgens states that his book has two major themes: "one, to provide a general understanding of the biology of spinal cord injury (SCI) in animal models and their relationship to naturally occurring injury in man, and secondly, to review novel means to induce functional recovery from spinal cord injury based on developmental biophysics and physiology."

Dr. Borgens is the Mari Hulman George Professor of Applied Neuroscience and Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue. He is also the Director of the Institute for Applied Neurology, Center for Paralysis Research through the School of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue.
