Luke Gutwein to receive BMES Undergraduate Student Award

Luke G. Gutwein has been selected by the BMES Awards Committee to receive a Biomedical Engineering Society Undergraduate Student Award. The award will be presented at the BMES Annual Business Meeting on Thursday, October 24, 2002, in Houston during the Joint EMBS-BMES Meeting. The award includes an honorarium, paid travel expenses, complimentary registration for the meeting, and a certificate.

Luke is an interdisciplinary engineering undergraduate student who has been conducting research in Professor Tom Webster's lab for the past two years. He has presented his work at American Ceramic Society, AIChE, and BMES conferences, and already has four publications to his credit.
