Professor Edward J. Delp Receives Bowman Award from Society for Imaging Science and Technology

At ceremonies in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 8, Professor Edward J. Delp received the 2001 Raymond C. Bowman Award from the Society for Imaging Science and Technology. The Bowman Award is given in recognition of an individual who has been instrumental in fostering and encouraging individuals in the pursuit of a career in imaging science. The Society for Imaging Science and Technology is an international non-profit society that has 2,000 members in 13 chapters throughout 36 countries.

Professor Delp's research interests are focussed on medical imaging, image processing, image and video compression, information security, multimedia systems, and communication and information theory.
