There is a sign-up sheet in the main office. If you have a specialty item that falls outside of your "category" please feel free to bring that instead. Families are included, so bring a little extra.

It was our pleasure to host our ABE Advisory Board on Monday, December 3, 2012. This vital step in our ABET accreditation process would be impossible without the willingness of our alumni to come to campus and give back by helping us to improve our programs. The students in Dr. Bralts' ABE 325 Soil and Water Conservation Engineering gave their term project reports on December 4, 2012. It is nice to see our students strut their stuff!

Drs. Irudayaraj and Ni travelled to China in November 2012 to explore technology transfer and commercialization opportunities with a Purdue University delegation, led by Mr. Mark Van Fleet of Global Business Engagement, Purdue University Office of Engagement. Dr. Irudayaraj visited Chengdu City, Sichuan Province and Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province with the delegation, which also included two other Purdue Professors: Dr. Riyi Shi of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Dr. Henry Zhang of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology. Mrs. Ping Poulsen, President of Safis Solutions LLC. (Indianapolis) was also present to promote Indiana business.

Dr. Ni joined the delegation in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province. They visited Zhejiang University, met with their counterparts in the Institute of Technology Innovation Co., Ltd., the College of Biosystems Engineering and Food Science, and the Agriculture and Industrial Technology Research Institute at the university. Their meetings focused on establishing collaboration of research and transfer of pre-IP (intellectual property), IP, and post-IP technologies between the two universities.

The delegation also visited Hangzhou Future Sci-Tech City, or Zhejiang Overseas High-level Talents Innovation Park, which has a planned area of 113 square kilometers (27.9 thousand acres) at the west side of Hangzhou. It is one of the four Future Sci-Tech Cities in China, setup to implement the national talent strategy expedite the economical transition of science commercialization in this region. The delegation was introduced with the Sci-Tech City and the possibilities for Purdue to develop technology transfer and commercialization.

Dr. Monika Ivantysynova gave a Keynote Lecture at the Energy Efficient Hydraulics and Pneumatics Conference in Chicago (Nov. 27-29) on Future Technology Focus- Displacement Controlled Actuation.
