|Event Date:||May 6, 2014|
Congratulations to AAE senior Nicoletta Fala who has been selected to win this year's Herbert F. Rogers Award.
Nicoletta is from Cyprus and came to Purdue as a freshman in fall 2010 as a Fulbright Scholar through the Cyprus-America Scholarship Program. During her Purdue career she volunteered for Purdue Space Day from her freshman year and became director of the event in 2012. She was an RA for Shreve Hall for the 2012-2014 school years. Nicoletta will graduate with her Bachelor’s degree on May 18th and will be starting her Ph.D. immediately with Dr. Karen Marais as her advisor.
Named for alumnus Herbert F. Rogers, this is one of our school's most important awards and it is awarded to Purdue AAE senior students who are “deemed most worthy and deserving by his/her contributions to the growth of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics in fostering engineering as an academic discipline.” Our school's Awards Committee along with two student members selected Nicoletta from among a group of talented and outstanding candidates for this award.
