Dr. Dana "Keoki" Jackson will present the Charles Rolls and Henry Royce Memorial Lecture at Purdue University on Sept. 24.

Jackson's talk will be at 5:30 p.m. in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall. It is free and open to the public.

The Charles Rolls and Henry Royce Purdue Memorial Lecture Series is presented by Rolls-Royce and Purdue's School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This series brings speakers to campus from the aviation and aerospace industries to inspire students who are considering careers in these fields. The 2016 Lecture will be the eighth in the series.

Dr. Dana "Keoki" Jackson is the Chief Technology Officer at Lockheed Martin. His lecture is entitled, "Innovations on the Horizon of Flight." Dr. Jackson plays a key role in developing next-generation and generation-after-next technologies for aeronautics and space flight. Dr. Jackson will share what's next on the horizon of flight, the awe-inspiring innovations that today's students will have an opportunity to help pioneer, and why this is the most exciting time to be an aerospace engineer in over a generation.

Dr. Jackson is responsible for the corporation's advanced technology strategy, digital transformation and global information (IT) operations. He oversees the Corporate Technology team, which is comprised of 5,000 technologists, engineers, researchers, analysts, and cybersecurity professionals located around the world. Under his direction, the organization is shaping the next era of operational capability and innovation for Lockheed Martin. As the primary liaison to the United States and international science and technology community, he manages strategic relationships with government, industry and academia to ensure the maturation and deployment of cutting-edge technologies.
