I have always liked aviation and the science surrounding it, so I wanted to continue to learn about the engineering behind aircraft in college.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in within AAE?
Not really a organization, but my working with my engineering team from AAE 251 was a great introduction to AAE and the engineering process in general.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in outside of AAE?
Navy ROTC

Why did you want to be an AAE Ambassador?
I wanted to interact with the next generation of AAE students and show them all the benefits of the Purdue AAE program.

Favorite place on campus?
The COREC

Favorite class you’ve taken thus far and why?
AAE 251 because it gave me my first look at what working with a team on an AAE specific problem looks like.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential AAE student?
Reflect on why you want to study AAE and constantly look back on that for motivation when classes get hard.

Who is someone you look up to in the Aero/Astro industry and why?
Kelly Johnson, the former Lockheed engineer and designer. He is responsible for leading the design of many cutting edge military aircraft.

What motivates you to succeed?
My desire to fly Navy fighter jets keeps me going everyday.

What is your ultimate career goal?
After retiring from the Navy, I would like to go to work in the private sector for a military contractor to help design the next generation of military aircraft.

I enjoy working out, watching movies, and reading.
