AeroAssault Cricket Team Wins Silver Medal in the Indoor Cricket League. 14 teams comprising a total of 200 students hailing from different nationalities contented for the trophy.

The recently concluded Nataraj Iyer Indoor Cricket League (NIICL) at Purdue University saw AeroAssault as the silver medalist for Spring 2014. 14 teams comprising a total of 200 students hailing from different nationalities contented for the trophy.

Team members were highly determined to win the tournament and were committed to put in efforts to achieve its goal through numerous practice sessions conducted during the season. Team topped the group phase of the league and the zenith of team’s achievement was defeating the previous semester’s defending champion in the semi-final. The team lost in the final by a narrow margin of 7 runs.  Tanmay Chobhe, a junior in School of Aeronautics & Astronautics was awarded the best bowler of the tournament.

AeroAssault cricket team provides an opportunity to the students, faculty, staff of Aero & Astro and others interested in this gentlemen’s game to participate in the practice sessions and matches. The team envisions growing stronger and continuing to keep up its performance in the upcoming seasons.
