AAE Grad Student Cheng Huang awarded the John Zink Company Graduate Fellowship Fund 2013-2014

AAE graduate student Cheng Huang has been awarded the 2013 John Zink Company Fellowship. Cheng is from Shanghai, China and he received his B.S. in Mechanical & Power Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2011.
He was also a candidate for the BS/MS Combined 3+1+1 Program between Purdue and Shanghai Jiao Tong University 2010-2012. He received his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 (Area: Fluid Mechanics & Propulsion) and he is currently I am a PhD candidate in mechanical engineering. His advisors are Prof. William Anderson and Prof. Haifeng Wang.
He is currently working on CFD simulations of combustion instability problems in both rocket and gas turbine propulsion and modeling practical combustion problems.
The John Zink Company Graduate Fellowship Fund is supported by the John Zink Company on an annual basis. The fund has been designed to support full-time regularly enrolled Purdue graduate students from the College of Agriculture, College of Engineering, College of Science and College of Technology who would like to be or are currently involved in combustion research. The fund provides opportunities for three students each year to work with faculty in combustion research.
