AAE Scholarships

The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics has scholarships and student support available thanks to the generosity of alumni, friends, and industrial sponsors. To receive full consideration for scholarships awarded using these funds for the 2015-16 academic year, please complete the application by May 1st, 2015. All students who will be enrolled as an undergraduate student in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics in the Fall 2015 semester are encouraged to apply for scholarships.

American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)

See the National ACEC website for details. You may also access the application directly. Use the current application list on the website.

Requirements: Students must be entering their junior, senior, fifth, or graduate year, in the fall of 2011 to qualify for the general scholarships. In addition, a student must be a U.S. citizen pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in engineering or in an accredited land-surveying program to qualify.

American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarships

Deadline: April 5 - Amount: $2,000

American Helicopter Society Vertical Flight Foundation Scholarships

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship

Class of 1937 Scholarship

Deadline - Friday, February 11th, 2011 at 5pm; Go to the Office of the Dean of Students Scholarship webpage and click on Class of 1937 for an application.

Requirements: Undergraduate student in Fall 2011 and Spring 2012.

Currier Scholarship for students of St. Joseph County, IN - up to Full Tuition

Deadline - June 15 following freshman year - renewable for up to six semesters; See the following website for details: Currier Scholarship

Requirements: Resident of St. Joseph County, Indiana; be accepted by Purdue's Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Aeronautics and Astronautics, intending to Purdue full time BS degree, maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Dr. Seuss's Oh, the Places You'll Go! Scholarship

Deadline - January 15 - Amount: $10,000

HENAAC Scholars

Requirements: applicants must demonstrate leadership, must be STEM major, GPA 3.0 or higher, be enrolled in undergraduate program for Fall 2008 semester, be of Hispanic origin and/or significantly participate in and promote organizations and activities in the Hispanic community

Little People of America Scholarship

Deadline - April 13, 2013 - Amount: $250 to $1,000

Requirements: Must be under 4-foot-10 or have a family member who is and belongs to the LPA. See the following website for details: www.LPAonline.org

NASA Aeronautics Scholarship Program

Deadline - April 2013 - Up to $15,000 awarded for each school year, to be used for tuition, room and board, or other school-related costs, Summer internship at a NASA Research Center with a stipend in an amount up to $10,000. Scholarship website

Requirements: award is contingent upon your admission to a suitable aeronautical engineering academic program or related field of study; Must have at least two (2) years of full time study left to complete at an accredited U.S. college or university as of Fall 2010; The program is open only to applicants who are citizens of the United States

NASA MUST Scholarship - Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology Program

Deadline - March 1, 2013 STEM disciplines, one year (renewable) scholarship of up to one half of tuition, not exceeding $10,000. Also $5,000 stipend to participate in summer research at a NASA center. See the following website for details: NASA Education webpage

Requirements: U.S. Citizen; enrolled and attending full-time at accredited college or university in the U.S. (students completing co-ops who are not considered full time will not be considered); must be rising college freshman, sophmore or junior; must have earned and maintain 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale, must be pursuing degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics

SME Scholarships

Deadline - February 1

Stuck at Prom Scholarships (Duck Tape)

Deadline - June 13 - Amount: $500 - $5,000

Requirements: Applicants must create prom outfits with duct tape and submit photos for judging. Please see the following website for details: http://duckbrand.com

Tall Clubs International Sholarships

Deadline: Varies by region - Amount: Up to $1,000

Requirements: Women must be at least 5-foot-10; men, 6-foot-2. Please see the following website for details: www.tall.org

Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarships

Deadline: February 20th - Amount: $5,000 each

Requirements: Applicants must have shown "compassion, courage, and a strong committment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/lifestyle." Please see the following website for details: www.vrg.org
